Book Review

I found a book review written by Rudy Koshar which was published in the journal “The American Historical Review”. Koshar assesses the book as both being “an indispensable text for understanding the social history of Nazi rule” and yet criticizes minor aspects such as his depictions of certain aspects of social life. For example, Koshar claims that “Peukert offers no satisfactory conception of every day life”. However, despite this, Koshar does admit that, to learn the overall story of social life in Nazi Germany the book is an excellent source.
